This centre will focus on the engineering design and development of products specifically for Vande Bharat trains and will play a key role in executing future rolling stock projects in India.

The centre will spearhead new product development for Vande Bharat trains and support KINET’s current and upcoming rolling stock projects. The new centre will be responsible for all Rolling Stock Engineering activities, including:
Driving design approvals with Indian Railways. Overseeing the design and development of subsystems with suppliers. Leading TCMS (Train Control and Management System) and subsystem software development, testing, and integration activities. Managing vehicle validation, assessment, and certification. Providing necessary support for production activities.
KINET’s new centre will significantly boost the R&D ecosystem in the railway sector. It will foster creativity and innovation while enhancing research capabilities in all Rolling Stock Systems, ensuring greater safety and reliability for Indian Railways.
